Last week, our nation faced the loss of a person who was working to direct young minds away from the challenges posed by critical theory and revolutionary liberation, and towards a future that offered the hope of family, faith, and a legacy of prosperity for generations to follow.
On September 10th, 2025, Charlie Kirk was assassinated at Utah Valley University during a free and open discussion with the student body.
Kirk, who selflessly allowed himself to field questions from the students, was silenced and has now become one of those who have been martyred for their fearless commitment to Christianity.
We have experienced the loss of a person who was truly working to shift the “get out to vote” momentum away from the revolutionary democrats. We have experienced the loss of a person who was repositioning the Republican Party – even more significantly than President Trump.
As we remember our friend and colleague, Charlie Kirk, let us make certain to carry forward a few lessons that will aid us not only in bridging the gap left by Charlie but will also empower us, by God’s grace, to accomplish even more remarkable accomplishments in his absence.
What Charlie had accomplished over the past 13 years or so – in a very short period of time – was absolutely remarkable.
And if you are a young man or woman who wants to make a difference in your nation, this would be the time to take a few notes:
1. Have a clear, unambiguous vision of what you want to accomplish that will change the course of history.
Charlie began with an ambitious vision, and he remained steadfast in pursuing that vision.
Even prior to the official establishment of TPUSA, Charlie envisioned the influence he aimed to exert on the youth demographic landscape of the United States.
Although the details were not fully defined at that time, Charlie was aiming high.
2. Adjust your goals when necessary.
During the phases of rapid expansion for TPUSA, Charlie’s initial focus with the organization was predominantly libertarian in nature.
Following the controversy surrounding the “Bang Energy Girls” that was stirred up by Rod Dreher, TPUSA shifted towards a more concentrated spiritual approach.
This divinely inspired direction facilitated TPUSA’s growth, both in terms of size and influence, as it began to chart the path for the conservative resurgence after 2020.
3. Surround yourself with individuals who possess great knowledge.
Charlie placed considerable reliance on Christian apologist Frank Turek, enhancing his witness throughout the years.
He was determined not to be caught unprepared during discussions on campuses.
Charlie sought to demonstrate that he was a true disciple of Jesus Christ, a workman approved, who was ‘prepared with an answer’ for the hope that lay within him.
He was unwilling to dismiss difficult inquiries regarding the Christian faith, understanding that having the right, truthful answer could trigger a significant moment in the mind of the non-believer.
This was a commonality between Charlie and me. It was also a matter I pressed upon him when we first met at CPAC over a decade ago.
One must not offer heretical definitions of the Trinity – and Charlie studied diligently to ensure that he was proclaiming a Biblical understanding of the Godhead.
It is crucial to have a factual understanding of the inspiration, transmission, and canonization of Scripture – and Charlie did his best in this very complex labyrinth that is so often misunderstood by the general public.
This is also where Charlie’s relationship with James Lindsay became particularly strong from 2020 to 2024. James Lindsay grasped the what, how, and why of the harmful ideologies infiltrating our American society. This friendship helped Charlie grow in his understanding of the Theosophical conundrum that was so diligently attempting to replace reality in our society.
I was also able to offer Charlie insights regarding the what, how, why, and who that were introducing similar ideologies into the Christian faith. These discussions ultimately extended into the areas of the metasystem transition that are currently influencing our daily lives.
4. Time is precious, so make the most of it.
I would encourage you to think back to all of the things that Charlie Kirk had accomplished:
TPUSA
TPUSA Faith
TPUSA Action
-Bringing thousands of young people into embracing conservative values
-Bringing thousands of young people into a life in Christ
-Creating the momentum of young people to contribute to getting conservatives in office
-Authoring several best selling books
-Having a beautiful wife and two children
Charlie accomplished all of this, before the age of 31.
Jonathan Edwards, one of the men that laid the groundwork for the Great Awakening composed an essay that he had written in 1734 entitled,
“The Preciousness of Time and the Importance of Redeeming It”
The key texts that Edwards used as the inspiration of his essay was Ephesians 5:15-5:17:
“Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.”
The will of the Lord is for you to make the best use of the time that he has allotted to you.
As Charlie did – just 31 years – but so much accomplished. Charlie redeemed the time.
Jonathan Edwards stated:
“…Time is very precious, because when it is past, it cannot be recovered. There are many things which men possess, which if they part with, they can obtain them again. If a man have parted with something which he had, not knowing the worth of it, or the need he should have of it; he often can regain it, at least with pains and cost. If a man have been overseen in a bargain, and have bartered away or sold something, and afterwards repents of it, he may often obtain a release, and recover what he had parted with. — But it is not so with respect to time. When once that is gone, it is gone forever; no pains, no cost will recover it. Though we repent ever so much that we let it pass, and did not improve it while we had it, it will be to no purpose. Every part of it is successively offered to us, that we may choose whether we will make it our own, or not. But there is no delay. It will not wait upon us to see whether or no we will comply with the offer. But if we refuse, it is immediately taken away, and never offered more. As to that part of time which is gone, however we have neglected to improve it, it is out of our possession and out of our reach.
If we have lived fifty, or sixty, or seventy years, and have not improved our time, now it cannot be helped. It is eternally gone from us. All that we can do, is to improve the little that remains. Yea, if a man have spent all his life but a few moments unimproved, all that is gone is lost, and only those few remaining moments can possibly be made his own. And if the whole of a man’s time be gone, and it be all lost, it is irrecoverable. — Eternity depends on the improvement of time. But when once the time of life is gone, when once death is come, we have no more to do with time; there is no possibility of obtaining the restoration of it, or another space in which to prepare for eternity. If a man should lose the whole of his worldly substance, and become a bankrupt, it is possible that his loss may be made up. He may have another estate as good. But when the time of life is gone, it is impossible that we should ever obtain another such time. All opportunity of obtaining eternal welfare is utterly and everlastingly gone.”
And so when you gaze upon Charlie’s grave, when you mourn his loss…
You need to ask yourself, “What am I doing with the time that the Lord has given me???”
Charlie had 31 years.
31 years of no excuses.
31 years of momentum and breaking through resistance
Now, please consider, what about you?
We need you in this effort.
Because we may only have one opportunity to save the gospel, humanity, and this nation for our generation.
Charlie needs you to carry on, with even greater results, because there is no “lose” in this: we must win.
