Dr. Jordan B. Peterson burst onto the scene and became an internet sensation in 2017, dishing out common sense replies to the excesses of out-of-control, wacky postmodernism and the liberal progressive empires dispensing draconian challenges to free speech and cognitive liberty that these movements promote.
Dr. Peterson is literally freeing people from the bondage of the thought patterns of neo-Marxist victimhood schemes and the destruction of grand narratives that seek to tear down necessary hierarchies that hold our civilization up.
Dr. Peterson’s understanding of the history of the corruptive concepts of racial identity politics and equity-based hierarchies led to our inviting Dr. Peterson to Washington DC to speak at the debut event of Sovereign Nations.
Dr. Peterson’s topic?
“The Marxist Lie of White Privilege”
The video that we captured at the Sovereign Nations event has attracted nearly a half a million views – with the majority of the viewers, nearly 80%, watching the entire hour and twenty-minute presentation.
That says something: it says that men and women value what Dr. Peterson has to say and are learning from his perspective.
Peterson’s critiques of the oppressor vs oppressed neo-Marxist narratives of today’s social justice movements along with an equally critical examination of the founding Fathers of postmodernism: Michele Foucault and Jacques Derrida, have been devastating -– showing the paper tigers of postmodernism for what they really are.
Respected reformed Christian scholars and apologists such as Dr. James White, Pastor Douglas Wilson, and Dr. Owen Strachan have had a fairly balanced understanding of the positives of Dr. Peterson – as well as helping to provide a polemic that also understands and elucidates the issues with Peterson’s worldview apart from the soteriological aspects of the Gospel. And these are balanced and fair views
But there is a terribly negative push coming from men and women who are at the pinnacles of Christian denominational or seminary power who are trying to protect their own new, current, postmodern, urban ministry, progressive agendas driven by the over-arching strategies that we covered in Episode 5 of The Causes of Things: the Bibles Badges and Business schemes.
This attack will be coming from Deconstructionist Christians who will encourage their followers to completely reject Peterson as they forcefully attack Peterson’s training in Jungian psychoanalysis.
What should you do? How should you approach your consideration of Dr. Peterson’s work?

Based on the first 20 years of my life spent as a fundamentalist christian, I can attest to the fact that none of the people who will try to attack him will have anything but a superficial straw-man based on a fundamental and intentional misunderstanding of both Peterson and Jung. Yet there’s no way to convince the heard animals of anything once their pastor or fox news has told them so. Let the truth speak for itself, and don’t worry about it.

There are many faithful, Bible believing, Holy Spirit filled Christians who see JP as someone who is speaking into the needs of a generation in a way that, perhaps, they have not connected with for a variety of reasons and it challenges them to build on that ability to communicate the ‘how of getting up the hill to the Holy City’ that JP talks about. Also, JP has, in a way, tilled the soil so that others may sow the seeds of faith and yet others water.
Jordan Peterson had an extraordinary gifting ‘for such a time as this’. Those who know God can see this.
There has been such a vacuum in the lives of many people and a hunger for something they knew not of – they just felt it. JP has wakened that deep desire and they have recognised the truth in what he has been saying. And they will look for more.
The ‘evangelicals’ who are following their own so-called truths and making God in their image, do not want their hollowness exposed. But they will come to nothing.

The Catholic press loves Peterson and is grateful for his heart and courage.

Aside from his occasional violation of the 3rd Commandment, I have otherwise very much enjoyed many of Jordan Peterson’s lectures. I appreciate the work that he has done in opposition to Marxism.

If I am not mistaken, Jesus said a couple of things that might be relevant to the topic.
“Anyone who is not against us is for us.” I believe that means “The Holy Spirit is able to bring this one to the Throne of Grace.” Check me on this.
I am not a theologian.
Also should [ provided I might be correct on the last thought]..the “Christian” people and leadership of the churches described in the article,
go for Peterson’s throat, rather than merely his ideas and advice, he might get quite a bit of help from angels and the Holy Spirit earlier than even he could hope.
I do think that Peterson’s gift of a sharp mind is going to continue to be given some independent free reign before that. Although we know that his thoughts are not God’s thoughts [ whose are?] wouldn’t the One who made him want to see how he does for a while as is? Could I dare to say I would?
That is enough said by me for now.

I think JP has added to the Christian discussion a great deal. I consider myself a devout follower of JC as my Savior and have a deep abiding faith. JP made me look at my religion differently with mainly an internal question I hear in my head when listening to sermons or reading the Bible and that question is – “What does that mean to me?” or “How do I Act or Live that out?”. JP perspectives have enlightened and made more real Christine doctrines for me. Way better than say a M. Scott Peck did with The Road Less Traveled and People of the Lie – which are great, great books, IMO. As are JP’s….I am a huge JP fan and even saw him in Atlanta on his Birthday even a couple years ago. I’m a huge fan of JC as well.
